How our fees work

Session fees

We are transparent with our fees and charge at a time-based rate. Pay on the day at the clinic. For community visits, we send an account after the session and payment is due within 7 days.

Assessment and therapy

Sessions can be at school, daycare, home or work for an additional travel fee, and telehealth is available. Sessions are based on the therapeutic hour, which includes planning, evaluating and documenting progress.

Therapy Assistant sessions

An affordable option. Our Therapy Assistants, often speech pathology students, are well supported by a qualified speech pathologist with regular meetings and guidance.

Report writing

All assessments need a report. We can provide a basic summary or a more detailed report for longer, more complex assessments.

School and daycare screening

Costs for school visits and screening depend on age, areas screened and travel distance, so we quote each one case by case.

Payment options

HICAPS at the clinic allows immediate claiming of private health funds and card payments. We also accept cash and can set up Medipass direct payment.

Rebates and funding

Ways to claim

Private health insurance

Sessions may be rebated through private ancillary health insurance. Check with your insurer whether your policy covers speech pathology.

Medicare rebates

We are happy to work with GP-initiated Care Plans (CDM). A plan gives a partial rebate for 5 sessions per calendar year across speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and audiology. Your child needs a chronic condition or complex care needs, as decided by your GP.

Autism funding

Children with autism may also be eligible for a Medicare rebate under the Helping Children With Autism scheme, with a referral from their paediatrician.

NDIS

Peach Speech Pathology has de-registered as an NDIS provider, but is happy to assist plan-managed and self-managed participants to reach their goals. Contact the clinic with questions. [Confirm wording with Peach]

Peach Speech Reach subsidies

Families on a lower income can receive a subsidy at intake, and the Florence Bessant Scholarship offers a 50% discount for a quarter, up to $1,000, to one family each term.
